I am so relieved and happy to announce that I passed the EPPP! I really could not have done it if it weren’t for this group. I remember first signing up for a different program and receiving a giant binder full of dry text. I read the whole thing cover-to-cover and would not be able to remember a single thing I read. After stumbling upon this group, I realized that I never learned how to study and I had to take a step back and reset my brain to actually seek the information and remember them in a fun way (thanks Collin and Kirby)! Having this community helped me engage in the study material in a fun, interesting, and critical way. So much thanks for everyone in this group and I am so glad I stumbled upon you all!

I just wanted to stop by and reflect on my journey and encourage everyone. You can do this!! It’s taken me a month since passing to really believe it. This was my third time taking the test and it was so very different from the other two times. I credit my success entirely to Collin and this group. I would not have passed without it.

I really think learning how I take tests and how to improve on that with Collin helped me to pass my second time around. I think what helped me the most were the practice tests, the questions Collin wrote, and this group. As time went on, I became better at picking the correct answer. I attribute this ability to talking through Collin's questions and sticking with the practice tests. I encourage each of you to get comfortable with taking standardized tests, believe in your abilities to select the correct answers, and stick with the Hack the EPPP group. As I was taking the exam, the first 50 seemed to be the most difficult. I started to feel like I was failing and I had NO idea what some of the questions were even asking. I used everything I could muster up from my studying to try and figure out the answers to very foreign-sounding questions. None of the questions were really all that similar to the practice exams. Everything you study is to give you background knowledge to figure out these answers- they are not recall. This is really where the Hack the EPPP program helped me. I understood much of this content at a deeper level, beyond just memorizing definitions. I could apply it to everyday situations, leaving these questions less daunting.

I passed the EPPP with a score of 572! I’m thrilled and very thankful to Hack the EPPP. I am especially thankful for Collin who helped me come up with a study plan, focus my energy and work through concepts I was struggling to retain. Although I felt as if I was failing during the exam I stayed calm focused on moving through the questions and sticking with my instincts, which really paid off!
